Even better, it gradually fades up/down the range so it’s not jarring. This is the best way to either lower or raise the volume of a small section of the clip. The Range tool allows you to select a range from a clip and then easily lower the volume of just that range. Instead of pulling out your hair trying to find a way to seamlessly do this, just use the Range tool. Say you have a section of a video clip that includes audio, but you want to add a voice-over on top of it, while not losing the audio from the original clip.
